About me

I am currently a Research Associate working with Prof. Shueng-Han Gary Chan in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). I received my Ph.D. in the State Key Laboratory of Information Engineering in Surveying, Mapping and Remote Sensing (LIESMARS, 2013-2019) from Wuhan University, where I was under the supervision of Prof. Deren Li, Prof. Ruizhi Chen, and Prof. Haojun Ai. Previously, I obtained my B.E. and B.B.A (minor) in the School of Geodesy and Geomatics (2009–2013), Economics and Management School (2011–2013) from Wuhan University, respectively. Before joining HKUST, I was also an intern at Microsoft Research Asia, Beijing, China, and a research assistant in the Department of Land Surveying and Geo-Informatics, Hong Kong Polytechnic University. My research interests are diverse, including ubiquitous positioning, indoor space model and spatial cognition, wireless sensing and IoT, and infrastructure development for smart city. I enjoy doing research on interdisciplinary topics.
